The Activity Department held our annual “Valentines Day Party” on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Musician and singer Therese McKanon provided us with love songs as residents and family celebrated the holiday over refreshments during her performance.
The residents worked throughout the month of February creating centerpieces for the tables. The centerpieces were made from artificial flowers, floral greeting cards which were donated to the facility, and glass vases which had also been donated by family members. Residents were given the centerpieces to display in their rooms after the event.
Students from the Harrison High School’s National Honor Society made Valentines cards for each of our residents at the facility. The cards were presented to all residents in attendance and were also given out to residents in their rooms who were unable to attend the event. We would like to thank the students of Harrison High School for thinking of our residents, as their kindness made our holiday extra special.
