The annual “Children’s Hallway Egg Hunt” was held Saturday, March 30, 2013. Children of our staff and relatives of our residents visited to hunt for eggs down the hallways of Newburgh Healthcare. This year, children were able to get their faces painted by local artist Dakri Sinclair.
The residents love seeing the children and being able to interact with them one-on-one while handing out eggs stuffed with candy to each child.
Our residents worked hard throughout the month of April volunteering to stuff candy in the eggs for this event.
Each child went home with plenty of eggs after hunting in the halls and families had fun spending time together in celebration of the holiday.
Hot dogs, chips, and lemonade were served to staff and families at the end of the egg hunt. Community artist Dakri Sinclair offered to paint the children’s faces with Easter themed art.
The Activity Department would like to thank all staff who came in to assist with this event. Without your help, this event could not be successful!
