Casino Royale Party 2017

On January 30th, 2017, Newburgh Healthcare’s Activity staff hosted a Casino Royale party. Residents participated in games such as Blackjack, Slots, Roulette and High Rollers.

High Roller

The first table was High Rollers. Residents rolled two dice and competed with one another for the highest combined total. The winner of each round received a ticket.

Mr. Baker stopped by to wish our residents “Good Luck!”

Blackjack

The second table the residents attended was the Blackjack table. The players aim to achieve a hand whose points total nearer to 21 than the dealer’s hand, but without exceeding 21.

If the residents hit 21 or won against the dealer, they received a ticket.

Roulette

The third table was Roulette. Residents were given four poker chips and were instructed to place each on a number of their choice.

If the ball landed on that number or color, the resident received a ticket to use at the prize table at the end of the day.

Slots

The fourth station was the Slot Machine. If the resident spun three of a kind on the wheel, they would be granted a ticket.

Scoring and Prizes

The residents made necklaces to wear to the Casino event during a craft activity in January.  Each necklace had an envelope on the back to store their winning tickets. After the games were completed, the residents gathered around the prize table to see who had the most tickets.

Maxine was awarded the most tickets at the Casino!

Congratulations to Maxine, who was our big winner at the Casino Royale!

Residents were called in order of their number of tickets to select items from the prize table. Every resident who participated was awarded a prize!

We would like to thank all of the staff who helped put on this wonderful activity for the residents at Newburgh Healthcare!
