Nursing Home Ideas
The Activity Department themed event held during the month of April was the “Alice in Wonderland Party.” Activity staff dressed in costumes which were in theme with this classic storybook tale. Costumes were inspired by both the Disney film and the Tim Burton adaption of “Alice in Wonderland.” Karaoke singers Corey Mockabee and Tony Baxton provided our residents with lively entertainment for the event.
Throughout the month of Apriil our residents worked on various arts & crafts projects which were to be used during the party to create the “Wonderland” atmosphere. In one such project, the residents expressed themselves artistically by water-color painting enlarged images of the classic characters from the Disney film. The watercolor paintings were later used to create a mural in the Dining Room.

Our residents also crafted flower arrangements in teacups which were used for centerpieces on each table in the Dining Room and hair pins made out of playing cards, fabric, and jewels. The pins were worn by our residents during the event.
