October is always full of exciting fun at Newburgh Healthcare! We kicked off the month by holding our annual “Fall Festival Party” on October 3rd.
Activity Director, Rebecca Odom, and Assistant Director of Activities, Kamila Mullis, went to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival to pick up a sample of goodies for our residents to enjoy. The “Bob Minette Ensemble” provided music entertainment for the event.
The Activity Department created a new Halloween mural for the Dining Room using the projector, bulletin board paper, and our new Cricut machine!
For our first Halloween-themed event, the Activity Department mass produced jello brains, hearts, and hands stuffed with Halloween toys.
The residents were each given a jello body part to test their skills at playing operation!
On October 30th our residents made Jack-o’-Lanterns, taking turns gutting, drawing designs, and carving out the pumpkins!
The Activity Director dressed as a “creepy doll” for this activity!
On Halloween day we were fortunate to have the musicians of B&B Entertainment sing for our residents, and they even wore costumes!
In fact, lots of staff members dressed up on Halloween!
We would like to thank all staff who assisted with these events!
We would also like to thank family members who have donated scrapbook paper for our new Cricut machine!
