June has long been know as one of the most popular months for weddings. The Activity Department decided to celebrate the recent royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle by hosing an “English Tea Party.” The music entertainment was provided by Neil Yockey and the Activity Department dressed as royal characters for the event!

The Dining Room was decorated in the colors of Great Britain, with the British flag hanging on the right wall and a mural of England on the left.
During craft activities leading up to the party, residents made centerpieces for the tables and designed their own crowns to wear during the event.
Musician Neil Yockey provided our entertainment while the royal characters served tea and scones as refreshments. The residents could choose from several iced tea selections and a sampling of white chocolate raspberry, apple cinnamon, and blueberry scones were served!
Images of the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were projected behind Neil Yockey as he performed.
At the end of the program, Neil was even knighted as “Sir Neil Yockey, performer extraordinaire of Newburgh Healthcare.”
The royal characters would like to thank all staff who encouraged residents to attend this event and all those who participated!
