Cinco De Mayo Party 2013

Top Rated Nursing Home Newburgh Indiana

Cinco De Mayo, the “fifth day of May,” fell on a Sunday this year but no matter – the Activity Department still reserved time at the end of May to celebrate one of Mexico’s most popular cultural holidays.

The Activity Department enlisted the help of young volunteers Briauna Cole and Sean Kissel in crafting novelties for the event (pictured above).  Briauna and Sean also assisted in decorating and handing out beads during the party.

Residents planted geraniums donated by Smith’s Greenhouse in Darmstadt, Indiana to use as centerpieces on the tables during the event.

Residents were served Margarita’s while listening to Tony Baxton & Friends give their lively karaoke performances.  Everyone had a good time and went home with some new beads!
